Sustainable construction - timber-clad building with green roof and landscaping by Clarks Construction
Our Responsibility

Sustainability

As a family business with a fifty-year horizon, sustainability is not a box-ticking exercise. It is how we ensure the business - and the buildings we deliver - are fit for the next generation.

Environmental Management

Our ISO 14001 certified environmental management system governs every site we operate. From site waste management plans to pollution prevention, we manage our environmental impact systematically and transparently.

Waste Reduction

We segregate and recycle construction waste on every site, working with licensed waste management partners to divert material from landfill wherever possible. Our site teams are briefed on waste segregation from day one.

Sustainable Sourcing

We work with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability - sourcing FSC and PEFC certified timber, low-VOC finishes, and materials with verified environmental credentials wherever the specification allows.

Energy & Carbon

From energy-efficient site accommodation to low-emission plant and vehicle selection, we actively manage our carbon footprint. We work with clients to deliver buildings that perform - thermally, operationally and environmentally.

On Every Site

Our Practices

Sustainability is embedded in our ISO 14001 certified environmental management system. These are not aspirations - they are the standard practices our site teams deliver on every project.

We work with clients who share this commitment, and we welcome projects where sustainability targets are ambitious. From heritage restorations that improve thermal performance without compromising historic character, we bring the same rigour to environmental performance as we do to build quality.
